Today is the day. Election day in Canada is finally upon us and we thought we would take the opportunity to remind voters about an issue with a timer attached.
Remember that environment thing we talk about on this blog? Well, we are running out of time to fix the mess we've made and that's why you should be voting with this issue in mind.
So to help you out we ranked the top parties based on their environmental platforms.
The Clear Winner: Green Party
Runner Up: NDP
Close Third: Liberals
Oh, did we forget someone? There is one other leading party that we will not name because the environment is so far down on their list of priorities that voting for them is basically a vote against the environment.
Greens, NDP, and Liberals have all answered a survey from the Pembina Institute saying that they will introduce climate plans that would reduce emissions to limit warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
